Each year in conjunction with the Portland Rose Festival, the Oregon Society of Artists presents the Rose Art Show. This is a sanctioned event by the Rose Festival Association.
Each artist may submit one or two paintings, one painting in each category representing the “Rose Theme” above and/or one painting representing the festival theme. Or the artist can submit 2 painting in one of the categories. All art work will be juried for the show. Because of this year’s “Festival Theme”, each painting should include a rose be about the Rose festival. New this year, colored mat liners of maximum ¼ inch width will be accepted.
This year’s jurist is Ruth Armitage, NWS,NWWS, and past President of WSO. Prospectus/ application link is below... Cash and Merchandise shall be awarded between the winning images.
Submission dates: May 27th (10-4pm) and May 28 (10-12noon)
Jury and Hang Show: May 31st
Reception: June 1st
Fee is $15 for one painting and $20 for two paintings
All artists must be a member of Oregon Society of Artists.
You can become an associate member by paying $30, the
annual membership dues, when the art work is delivered.
