Who We Are
Since 1927 the Oregon Society of Artists has been promoting the artistic and professional interests of its members as well as providing visual arts programs to the public. The OSA nurtures and promotes Oregon artists by providing exhibit opportunities, marketing their original works, and coordinating educational programs.
General Meetings for all members are held each month on the second Thursday at 11:00 am and on the third Thursday at 8:00 pm. The OSA Board of Directors meeting follows the day meeting and an art demonstration program beginning at 11:00 am and a potluck lunch at 12 noon for those who wish to participate.
The evening meeting is preceded by an open critique meeting at 6:30 pm and is followed by a demonstration, lecture or entertainment and a social hour with refreshments.
"The Oregon Society of Artists has grown from an informal gathering of artists, held in the old Portland Art Museum at SW 5th and Taylor Streets, in the fall of 1926."
