August:The Dornbecker Show
This month will feature the donated art pieces for the Doernbecker Children’s Hospital.
Show hangs Saturday August 2nd from 10am to 1pm. Reception Sunday August 3rd
from 1 to 4pm. Show closes August 29th.
September: Fall Juried Show. All Members and Any Media,
Work for this show will be collected on Wednesday September 3rd from 10am to 4pm.
A prospectus is included in this “Brushmarks”. Show hangs Saturday September 6th.
Reception Sunday September 7th, 1 to 4pm. It would be appreciated if all those that
are showing in the show attend the reception, so that if you do receive a ribbon you are
there to accept and receive the recognition you deserve. Jurist for the show is Celeste
Bergin, who was most recently selected to submit 2 paintings to the Broderick Salon
Show. Celeste has been guest lecturer at the Pittock Mansion on multiple occasions in
conjunction with their on site Plein Air show. Along with oil and acrylic painting, she
does freelance graphic arts assignments. Visit her blog at

Portland Open Studios Tour Guideswill be sold again this fall for- $15.00. The guide includes a map as well as an 18 month calendar a wonderful resource for local area artists. Oregon Society of Artists has teamed with Portland Open Studios to sell a limited number of guides. Check at the front desk in the gallery before the're all gone.
